On June 12, 2016, an act of terror and hate took the lives of 49 Angels, wounded 68 and left hundreds affected. Pulse Nightclub, a sanctuary of love and acceptance for Orlando’s LGBTQ community, was specifically targeted in this heinous act. In the aftermath of one of the deadliest mass shootings in modern American history, the community and the world came together to prove that love will overcome fear and hatred. Under this banner, the onePULSE Foundation was created as a 501(c)(3) to memorialize this tragedy and ensure Pulse’s legacy of love, acceptance and hope was never lost. The Foundation will support the design, construction, maintenance and operation of a memorial and museum; community grants to care for the victims’ families and survivors; educational programs to promote amity among all segments of society; and endowed scholarships to honor each of the 49 Angels.
