Orlando Chamber Stakes Out Positions on Amendments
BusinessForceOrlando, Inc., weighed in last week with positions on four proposed amendments to the Orange County Charter that will be voted on by Orange County voters at the Nov. 4th general election. Three of the proposed amendments on the ballot (Questions A, B and D) have been placed there by the Orange County Commission following a series of public hearings earlier this year while the fourth proposal (Question C) was placed on the ballot following a petition drive to secure the required signatures by Citizens for Informed Elections, a local organization largely funded by out of state special interests.
