Journey Toward Justice – Harriette Simms Moore
Harriette Simms Moore was born in Mims, Florida on June 19, 1902. She graduated from Bethune Cookman College and began teaching in her hometown. She met Harry Tyson Moore when they were both teaching in Brevard County. Harriette Moore was also an insurance agent for the Atlanta Life Insurance Company. They decided to marry and both became active in the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.  Read more ...
